Joyce Wong has 17 years of experience in the talent development world and specializes in performance management, organization development and culture, and training design and delivery. She is the director of property training at Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s Learning Academy. Since 2012, Joyce has been part of Melco, where she takes the lead in hotels, food and beverage, and spa training across Forbes five-star hotel properties and establishes service culture excellence, which has resulted in attaining 17 Forbes five-star accolades. Joyce has contributed to the design, development, and delivery of leadership programs, talent development, and performance improvement initiatives.

Joyce developed her passion and pursuit of excellence for training and development early in her career with Macao Institute For Tourism Studies (IFTM) as an academic instructor. Prior to joining Melco, she held human resources roles within two international five-star hotel brands.

Joyce has an MSc degree from the University of London in international management and a BSc in hotel management from IFTM. She was the first Macao local to earn international recognition as a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD®). Joyce is a certified trainer for the Ken Blanchard Situational Leadership program and DDI coaching courses and an in-house master trainer for a train-the-trainer certification program. She is an engaging and effective trainer who embraces the adult learning principles, encourages interactive learning, and applies results-oriented methodologies through her extensive years of facilitation experience.

In 2022, she was recognized by Stelliers as the Human Resources Hotelier of the Year in the Greater China region and received the Excellence in Practice Award in the customer service category from ATD.
