Dr. Nan Thornton has been in the field of instructional design and e-learning for 25 years. Her professional experience runs the gamut from instructional designer and software developer to project manager, consultant, training director, and even studio executive. She spent eight years with Allen Interactions designing and managing custom e-learning projects for corporate projects. Dr. Thornton has also taught in the graduate programs in instructional design, instructional psychology, and e-learning design at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, and the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. For ten years, Dr. Thornton served as the faculty chair for the Instructional Design for Online Learning specialization at the masters and doctoral levels at Capella University. Most recently, she has been creating and delivering webinar training on ZebraZapps, a new e-learning development tool from Allen Interactions, writing a book on ZebraZapps, and teaching online for Grand Canyon University.
