Nigel GAN graduated with a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Sydney in 2009, and a Master’s in International Cooperation Studies from Hiroshima University. He worked for several years as an Information Management Advisor in Executive Services Branch at the Department of Justice, Victoria, Australia, focusing on privacy and freedom of information policy development, implementation and training. Prior to joining the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) Hiroshima Office in 2015, he worked as a Digital Media Consultant at the British Embassy, Tokyo; and for the Fukuyama City Board of Education as part of the JET Programme. At UNITAR Hiroshima, Nigel is responsible for anything technology - communications and social media, IT and business innovation. He is the Training Officer responsible for the World Heritage and Afghanistan training portfolios.
