Nigel GAN is the lead for Instructional Design and Quality Assurance for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) Division for Prosperity and is based in their Hiroshima Office. He is the Project Manager for the Afghanistan and Disarmament capacity building training portfolios, and manages the Division’s Media and Communications team. He has developed and delivered training around the world to participants from over 60 countries.
Nigel is an Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) and an Association for Talent Development (ATD) Master Trainer and Master Instructional Designer. Nigel holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Sydney and a Master’s in International Cooperation Studies from Hiroshima University. He worked in Australia for several years in the government, as an Information Management Adviser at the Department of Justice, Victoria, and as a Policy Officer for the TVET-oversight body, Skills Victoria. Prior to joining UNITAR in 2014, he worked as the Business Manager of a UK start-up; a Digital Media Consultant at the British Embassy in Tokyo; and participated in the JET Programme.
