ABOUT ME

A creative and future thinking higher education administrator with an educational foundation in Latin American Studies, History, and Higher Education Administration. Currently, working on getting my PHR certification. I have over 15 years of training experience in higher education. Recently, I began providing trainings for outside organizations. I provide trainings on supervising front-line staff; time management; discrimination, harrassment, and retaliation (DHR); onboarding; and supervision of managers. I am also an Adjunct Professor of History at my institution. Furthermore, I am also well versed in personnel management matters, including: collective bargaining agreements (CBA), professional development, hiring & firing and employment relations.

I am passionate about technology and its campus wide application. I have experience with both private and public institutional cultures. I am results driven, with an emphasis on assessment and practicum. I also have advanced oral and written communication skills.

I am also currently freelancing as a trainer for the Training Resource Center. I provide various small and midsize companies in the Central Valley of California with trainings on supervision for managers, conflict resolution, sexual harassment, DHR, and other work-related topics.

Along with my professional career, I enjoy reading, researching, bicycling, and a healthy coffee addiction. I also enjoy thinking and contemplating the 'why' things are the way they are. I am an amateur writer who is becoming something of a grammarian. I consider myself a tech geek who is an early adopter.
