Phil Molnar
ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Phil Molnar and I am a training instructor with the National Park Service.  I work at the Horace M Albright training center located at Grand Canyon National Park.  My main responsibility is to instruct NPS Fundamentals, which is part of the new employee onboarding process.  Fundamentals offers a broad overview of NPS operations and connects participants to the mission of the NPS so they all understand how they fit into the organization.   My job is way too fun and rewarding.  I feel lucky to be a part of the onboarding process.

I got involved in the realm of instruction as a senior in college.  I took a class about environmental education and decided that's the career field I need to be in.  After obtaining a masters in environmental education, I started working as an education technician (it's gov speak for teacher) at Cuyahoga Valley National Park.  My experience there instructing kids, conducting evaluations and creating curriculum helped my career and led me to where I am today.

I'm very much excited to learn more in this class as it will help me personally and professionally.
