Veronica Ploetz is senior manager of training at Union Pacific. In this role, she leads a team of professionals who deliver blending learning experiences to employees throughout their career. Ploetz is responsible for setting the training and professional development strategy for the company’s management workforce. She joined Union Pacific in 2013 and served as a benefits communication project manager, instructional designer, and leadership program manager. Ploetz is a certified Emergenetics Associate and certified Professional of Human Resources (PHR). She served as director of social media for ATD’s Nebraska Chapter in 2018 and 2019 and is the recipient of the chapter’s 2018 Community Impact Award. Ploetz is a member of five ERGs and serves the LEAD ERG as vice chair of the professional development committee.

Prior to joining Union Pacific, Ploetz coordinated the production of marketing campaigns at Nebraska Medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska Omaha in 2003.
