Wanda Snead
ABOUT ME

 

Wanda Snead graduated from Fort Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She matriculated to Western, KY University for graduate school and received a master’s in immunology. While attending Western, she worked at Greenview Hospital as a Bacteriology Clinical Tech and later taught microbiology and pathogenic microbiology in the school of nursing. Dr. Snead went to medical school at U of KY for one year. She worked for 24 plus years at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, in the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology, & Metabolism, where she managed a basic science laboratory, worked as a study coordinator in the Diabetes Clinical Trial Center, and associate director of the Summer Research Training Program for Medical Students.  Dr. Snead graduated from Nova Southeastern University, College of Allied Health and Nursing in 2007 with a Doctor of Health Science Degree (DrHSc). She also has several years of teaching experience as faculty in the College of Natural Sciences for the University of Phoenix and currently teaches the 400 level health science courses for the bachelors in health care administration program. She has  authored/co-authored several publications found in peer-reviewed journals.
