Allison Anderson
ABOUT ME

Allison Anderson has a passion for creating compelling experiences organizational learners. With over 20 years’ experience as a learning leader in both higher education and the private sector, Allison’s roles have included Learning Strategist at Intel Corporation and Director of Learning at ESCO in Portland, OR. In these organizations, she’s focused on social and collaborative learning, learner experience and strategic visions. Her current role is Senior Trainer at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.

Allison is co-author of the ATD publication Ready, Set, Curate!

Some of her favorite projects have included creating Lewis & Clark College’s first-ever staff and faculty training program and leading Intel’s Learning Community of Practice, a community of 400 global learning & development professionals from Intel’s highly decentralized learning function. Reflections on this work were recently highlighted in the publication Inside Learning Technology and Skills (June, 2015), in an article entitled, “Developing a Successful Learning Community.” Her work has also been highlighted in CLO Magazine and other industry publications such as The New Social Learning (by Marcia Cross and Tony Bingham), Revolutionize Learning & Development (by Clark Quinn), The 2020 Workplace (by Jeanne Meister and Karie Willyerd) and Next Learning, Unwrapped (edited by Nick Van Dam).

Allison is a frequent presenter and facilitator at leading industry conferences. Allison has presented at events such as DevLearn, ATD’s International Conference and Expo, Training 2012, Europe’s Corporate Universities, Ac@demies, Estrategias de eLearning Brasil, the Social Learning Boot Camp, the CLO Symposium, and the Wharton Executive Program for Work-Based Learning Leadership. Allison is also a veteran of Elliott Masie’s Learning Conference, where throughout the years she has led presentations on topics as wide-ranging as Learning Ecosystems, Social Learning, Curation and Women in Learning.
