I am creating an international new hire orientation program and would like to get best practice ideas and suggestions regarding this topic.

So, I am going to try and "piggy" back off of Alicia's question. I am currently seeing an increase in international new hires that speak little to no English. These people are 95% machine operator positions that they are coming into. Some have been in the US for years and some just a few weeks. I am finding that it is easy to mistake a friendly nod of the head as compliance or understanding. Any tips?

Agree with Beth - I generally find that it depends on the composition of international employees! One of the really big things I find to be an issue is localizing content for those different geographies. Especially in manufacturing, where you have to cover all the general company topics, plus health & safety training. Where are these employees, and what type of employees are they (e.g., factory floor employees, back office support, etc.)?
