Hello! My company is a small government contracting company. We are currently re-vamping our performance assessment to move to a monthly model. One thing that is top of mind is how we can do better at progressing our people to the next level. We have a compentency model matrix in place which in theory would assist with this. However, sometimes in the consulting world, it isn't so cut and dry, and it can be hard to progress to the next level if your duties on client site don't really allow you to. My question is, what are some ways other companies allow for career progression? I.e. company initiatives, specific goals, etc.
