Where to Find Curated Content

Published: Tuesday, March 17, 2020

Can anyone point me to resources/websites to find content in the public domain?   In particular,  I'm interested in public domain content on career management and also developing employees.

Here are two I put on our internal Career Resources Hub.
The Interest Profiler https://www.mynextmove.org/explore/ip
The Work Importance Survey https://www.onetcenter.org/WIL.html#paper-pencil
I would explore the topics of career choice, career development and career pathing. When I started the hub I started my research there. For pathing we use a model paths of developing toward 1) expertise, 2) specialization 3) lateral/cross-training and 4) advancement.

Training Magazine has a ton of free resources. Also, ideas for employee development (free). Business.Udemy.com does have a cost but it's very reasonable per course. We have also purchased courses from Gallup and ATD, as well as the copyrights so you can continue to alter it to meet your needs. Before you start looking, do you know what development employees are wanting as well as career management? If not, I'd start there by gathering feedback and then identify possibilities based upon that.
