I work for a construction company that does a lot of government projects. I am curious to learn how other project based organizations deliver safety training to craft employees. Ours are carpenters, bricklayers and welders who may have English as a second language. They move from project to project sometimes on a daily basis. The level of computer skill is negligible for many. Is anyone else managing this issue? I would be interested to learn how you are doing it.

I work in a utility that is part of a municipality. We have safety training still in a classroom setting. We struggle with field staff, mechanics, utility repairers that are not computer proficient and who struggle with literacy. We are slowly moving in the direction of adding online learning and micro learning. A section of our staff were outfitted with tablets to use in the field to enter work orders and that has proven to be successful.
