I am reaching out, becuase I'd like to uncover some best practices. Recently my began creating SOP's for a new software implementation project. The project is currently undergoing UAT and is expected to go live in a few weeks. I have my own thoughts about how this process should have gone. I just want to reach out to see how others think this data collection process from SME's to create SOP's should have flowed.

Hi Raina, there can be different sources for SOPs & training material in that phase of a software implementation. There might be documentation that you can use. Maybe there are test cases for UAT that illustrate the requirements? Maybe there are Knowledge Transfer materials or Design Documents that can be used? I think if you can gather a good basis gathered, it is easier for SMEs and stakeholders to give their input.

Hi Raina, my initial thought is to have focus group meetings with the identified SMEs and key stakeholders for each SOP. In these meetings everyone works together to map the process and identify the performance requirements .
