Hello everyone!  My company has an opportunity to be part of the pilot program to bring the 180 Skills training platform to local businesses.  I was wondering if anyone has used the software, and if so would you be willing to share your experiences?

Hi Shane,
I've never heard of the 180 Skills platform, but I did some research to see what it's about. It puts me in the mind of SkillSoft and we have used it in an organization where I worked. The key to it being successful is building a learning strategy that ties to the work your organization does in order to bring relevance to the courses for your company's employees. Additionally, while there are hundreds and eventually will be thousands of courses, it can be a bit overwhelming.

Thank you for your response! The relevance is a big part of the issue I have; while 180 Skills is manufacturing-specific, it focuses a lot on the technical skills needed to operate automated / computer-controlled machinery, whereas we have very little of that at my organization. My limited trial exposes me to a cross-section of courses, but none of those pertain to what we do here, and I'm concerned about seeing only cherry-picked, introductory level courses (an enhanced sales demo).
