Guest speakers needed for colloquium

Published: Wednesday, August 1, 2018

Hi everyone,

My name is Vance Durrington and I am a faculty member in the instructional technology program at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. We have a colloquium each fall for beginning masters students. The purpose of the colloquium is to help the students become familiar with the instructional technology field's trends and issues from a practitioners perspective. The general them is "Instructional Technologists: Who they are and what they need to know." I am seeking guest speakers or panels who will discuss new trends and issues and/or projects they are involved in and to describe their roles and responsibilities as instructional technologists in the field (this could include those who hire instructional technologists). Some of the students in the colloquium will be on-site and others virtual. We are using Zoom for our class, so I will send a link to the speakers.

If you would be interested in serving as a speaker or putting together a panel of speakers, please let me know. My email address is [email protected]

The colloquiums are scheduled for Thursdays from 4:30 - 6:30 pm ET. I still have two openings available -- September 27 and October 18.

Thank you for your time and consideration in mentoring our students.

Hi Vance,
If you still have an opening, I'd love to help out. I'm a learning developer at Colgate-Palmolive. In this role, I get to design and develop (in-house, vendor and curated) material to meet our global learning needs.
