Making Instructional Video That Works Without a Big Budget

Wednesday, January 24, 2018

When it comes to creating video, especially for instruction, we need to make sure that what we're creating works. What makes an effective instructional video? Not only do we need to learn how to measure effectiveness, we also need to show stakeholders that budgets can be kept within reason. Knowing that these two goals can appear, at times, to be in direct conflict, during this session we are going to look at how to do both. Come learn elements and gain ideas to make more effective (and engaging) instructional videos. Also, come learn how to keep the price tag within reason, including the cost of your time and hard work. During the process, we'll review examples of effective and ineffective videos, review tips for the budget conscious, and look at metrics for understanding effectiveness. This session was recorded at the ATD 2018 TechKnowledge conference in San Jose, California.
