Moving From Amateur to Professional Digital Media Content for Learning

Thursday, January 25, 2018

Tomorrow's learning professionals will also be media professionals. And tomorrow's learning departments will be media operations. So how can we get to the point where we are able to consistently produce highly engaging content that leads to learning? And how do we ensure we can do it fast and at low cost? Newsrooms and radio and TV stations have faced this challenge for years. Digital media, like audio and video, offers incredible opportunities for talent professionals to extend learning beyond the classroom. We can offer learning that's available anywhere people want it, whenever they want and on whatever device they choose. In this session, we'll look at three things that enable professional media operations to consistently turn out high-quality content, do it fast, and do it cost effectively. And we'll explore how these can be adopted by training departments as they become media factories. This session was recorded at the ATD 2018 TechKnowledge conference in San Jose, California.
