Preserving the institutional knowledge of experienced workers before they leave the workforce is a challenge all on its own. But when your industry is labor-centric and skill-based, such as construction or manufacturing, this task can become nearly impossible. Those with the greatest level of experience in skill-based roles may also be the least equipped to write out or present their own knowledge. In this session, the speaker will show you how one company has successfully captured experience-based information without requiring the experienced individuals to do their own documentation or asking them to prepare formal presentations. Session time will also be allotted toward brainstorming potential solutions for issues currently faced by you in your knowledge preservation efforts back home.
