Martha Soehren serves as the 2014 ASTD Board Chair.
Martha Soehren joined the ATD Board of Directors in 2010. She serves as the Chief Talent Development Officer and Senior Vice President for Comcast University and Comcast Cable. In her role she leads learning and development across all functional areas, leadership levels, and high potential programs from approximately 100,000 employees. Ms. Soehren's experience spans the telecommunications and defense industries. She also worked as an adjunct professor, research and academic advisor.
Charles Fred is the 2017 ATD Board Treasurer.
Charles Fred is a best-selling author and a serial entrepreneur. He has devoted over three decades of his life discovering new ways for professionals to acquire skills necessary to compete in today’s knowledge-thirsty economy. Today, as the Executive Chairman of Modern Teacher, Charles is taking his expertise and devoting his time to help teachers reinvent the classroom. Charles is also the founder of The Reignite Group, a research-based firm dedicated to helping entrepreneurs make the transition to chief executives and discover important know-how to build lasting enterprises.
Tony Bingham is the president and CEO of the Association for Talent Development, formerly ASTD, the world’s largest professional association dedicated to those who develop talent in organizations. Tony works with a staff of 130, a Board of Directors, and a worldwide network of volunteers to empower professionals to develop talent in the workplace.

Melissa Daimler heads up Organizational Effectiveness & Learning at Twitter where she has a charter to build a global team and create a scalable talent, leadership & management strategy.
Prior to joining Twitter, Melissa headed the Global Learning and Organizational Consulting team at Adobe Systems. In 2011, her team won top honors for The Best Learning Team from Brandon Hall, and was featured in two case studies on innovative approaches to learning. Prior to Adobe, she led HR at Epylon (now part of Accenture). She is a certified coach and helped start Coach University.
Melissa has a B.S. in Social Work and a B.A in Psychology from Winona State University. She graduated from Pepperdine University with a M.S. in Organizational Development.
Jenny Dearborn is a leading authority on sales enablement and training, with expertise in big data and predictive analytics. As Senior Vice President and Chief Learning Officer for SAP, she designs and drives employee learning and enablement strategy. Dearborn was recognized as one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology in 2014 and 2015 by the National Diversity Council, and through the Fortune Most Powerful Women Network, she is a mentor for the U.S. State Department to female entrepreneurs in developing countries. Her team was named by eLearning Magazine the #1 top performing corporate learning organization in the world in 2013.
Lisa J. Downs, CPLP
Lisa Downs, CPLP, ACC, is a leadership development coach, facilitator, and consultant specializing in helping technical professionals and executives work at their best to achieve their desired business results. As president and owner of her company, Downs Leadership, Lisa focuses on using assessment tools in her work with leaders and their teams to gain greater self-awareness of their behaviors, recognize the impact of those behaviors, and work toward who they want to be as leaders and as people to accomplish their goals. In addition to Time Management Training,Lisa is the author of Listening Skills Training and Negotiation Skills Training in the ASTD Trainers WorkShop series. She resides in Redmond, Washington.
Rob Green is the 2016 ATD Board Chair.
Rob Green is Director and General Manager of Amazon's Marketplace business. Rob's teams focus on seller recruitment and selection expansion on the Marketplace through scalable sales, integration, and education platforms and processes.
Prior to Amazon, Rob spent more than 20 years at Oracle in development, consulting, and training leadership roles. From 2010 to 2013 he led Oracle's global customer education business, which served more than 500,000 students annually in 120 countries worldwide.
With more than 20 years' experience in technology development, implementation, and training, Rob has played integral roles in leading training transformations and change management initiatives. A native of Canada, Rob currently resides in Seattle, but has called Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, and Indianapolis home at various times during his career.
Michael Korcuska is Senior Director, Product Management at LinkedIn. He previously served as the organization's Senior Director of Global Customer Operations where he was responsible for supporting LinkedIn's 150 million+ members and more than 10,000 corporate customers. Prior to LinkedIn, Michael spent 20 years in technology-enabled education and training. Most recently he was Executive Director of the Sakai Foundation, a non-profit consortium of universities working together to produce a teaching and learning software platform. He also served as COO for ELT, a leading compliance-training provider, and has held leadership positions at DigitalThink and Cognitive Arts.
Dr. Mary McNevin is the Chief Learning Officer of Signature HealthCARE. Signature HealthCARE is a leading provider of long-term care services with more than 15,000 employees. Mary's focus is on driving enterprise change and accelerating learning in order to radically change the landscape of long-term care forever.
Prior to joining Signature HealthCARE, Mary was the VP of Talent and Organization Development at McCain Foods Ltd. During her 12 year tenure she launched the company’s first global learning center. She earned a doctorate in Work-based Learning Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania/Wharton School of Business, and also holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
Marci Meaux is the 2017 ATD Chair.
Marci Meaux recently retired from Cisco, where she served as Vice President, ACT Services Transformation Office. In this role she was a key leader in the transformation of Cisco and is driving internal disruption within Cisco's opportunity for dramatic growth. Marci has managed large traditional organizations and small, innovative teams with the charter to disrupt the status quo. She has been named Woman of the Year by the Association of Women in Computing.
With more than 25 years industry experience, Marci is an acknowledged authority on building innovative partner and sales enablement programs that increase customer service ratings, reduce customer-service response time, and improve organizational productivity.
Brian Miller is the Senior Director of Learning & Development for Gilead Sciences—currently overseeing all employee development including executive development. Prior to this role Brian was the Director of Amgen’s Global Learning & Development function. He also worked as a former executive consultant and worked with several Fortune 500/1000 organizations.
Brian received a Masters degree with honors in Technology in Learning from Harvard Graduate School of Education. He is a published author and conference speaker.
