What’s Changing About ATD National Membership?

ATD Professional and Professional Plus membership will continue to include all the same great benefits that are included today. In January 2024, all active members will gain access to the digital Talent Development Body of Knowledge (TDBoK).

With the addition of the TDBoK to member benefits, ATD is also increasing its membership rates. For individual memberships, Professional will go from $279 to $299 per year and Professional Plus will go from $439 to $479 per year. Renew by January 5, 2024, to lock in your current rates for up to three years. Enterprise membership rates will increase on March 1, 2024.

Why Is ATD National Increasing Its Membership Dues?
We’ve been able to keep membership rates steady for the last three years. However, as we continue to invest in new and meaningful benefits at increased costs, we need to raise our rates. To make this change a little easier, members can lock in current rates for up to three years.
For How Long Can I Lock in My Rates?
You can lock in your current rates for up to three years if you renew by January 5, 2024. After that date, you will be asked to pay the increased dues at the time of your membership renewal. Any new members who join or return after January 5 will pay the new rates.
Do I Have to Take Any Action?
We highly recommend you renew (yes, even early renewals count) by January 5, 2024 to lock in your current rate. If you’re not a member, we encourage you to join by January 5, 2024 to lock in current rates. Save even more when you choose from our two- and three-year memberships.
I Just Joined or Renewed My ATD National Membership. Why Do I Need to Renew Again?
You do not need to renew again. If you choose to renew early, you will lock in your current rate for up to three years and gain early access to the digital TDBoK. Your renewed membership will be added to your current end date. For instance, if your current membership end date is December 31, 2023, renewing for an additional year would push your end date to December 31, 2024.
Is My Chapter Membership Changing?
No. You’ll continue to get the same great local benefits from your chapter. If your chapter offers its membership via the ATD Store, you can find your chapter membership details in your profile under “Membership.” To engage with your chapter benefits, visit your chapter’s website.
Will There Still Be a Power Member Discount?
Yes. Power members will continue to receive $30 off the price of their ATD national membership. Include chapter membership in your cart or select your chapter from the dropdown menu at checkout to apply the discount.
I’m Enrolled in Auto Renew. How Do These Changes Affect My Membership?
Memberships set to automatically renew before the January 5 deadline will be renewed at the current rates. Memberships that renew after the January 5 deadline will renew at the new rates. If you would like to update your auto renewal schedule to lock in the current rates, log into your ATD account, cancel your auto renewal enrollment, renew your membership online, and re-enroll in auto renew. I Purchased a Subscription to the Talent Development Body of Knowledge. How Does That Work With the New Membership Benefit?
When you join or renew between October 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023, your order will include access to the TDBoK. You will receive a separate email with instructions to access the TDBoK. Memberships that overlap an existing paid subscription to the TDBoK may be eligible for an account credit. We will look at how the subscription aligns with your membership term and make the necessary adjustments to your account .
I’m an Upgraded Member. What Happens to My Benefits, and Will My Membership Dues Increase?
If you continue to renew on time, you will receive the enhanced Professional Plus benefits (which includes all Professional tier benefits plus the 99 micro courses), while continuing to pay the Professional tier price. Your rate will increase to $299 at your next renewal.
