CareerBuilder 에서 실시한 설문조사에 따르면, 소셜 미디어에서 입사지원자를 조사한 고용주의 51%가 해당 내용을 보고 지원자를 채용하지 말아야겠다는 확신이 들었던 것으로 나타났다. 이 비율은 2012년에 34%였던 것이 2013년에 43%로 증가하였다.
