About
Adam Smith is a senior consultant and executive coach. He partners with leaders to help them think, act, and engage differently in learning and development, and to thrive in volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environments. Throughout assessment, goal-setting, exploration, practice, and integration, Adam strives to enable leaders to exercise their full competence, initiative, and creativity, to raise their level of performance and satisfaction, and to elicit the best contributions from their teams and all stakeholders.
Adam has over 25 years of experience in coaching, leadership development, organization consulting, and executive assessment and recruitment. His clients range from Fortune 500 companies in various sectors to nonprofits, private companies, and startups. Adam designs and facilitates coaching programs and workshops for private sector clients, federal agencies, and business schools in higher education.
Adam has an MBA from Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in organization development, studies in industrial/organizational psychology at George Mason University; a BA in English literature from the University of Mary Washington along with leadership coaching training at Georgetown University. He holds the credential of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation; is a Certified Practitioner with Hogan Assessment Systems, the Leadership Circle 360 Profile and Culture Survey, Everything DiSC, 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, EQi 2.0 and EQi 360, and is a Certified Action Learning Coach (CALC) with the World Institute for Action Learning. He has also received extensive training in adult development, career coaching, and resilient leadership.
