Alex Bayne
About
Alex Bayne is the managing director of human resources (workplace strategy, learning and engagement) at the University of British Columbia. She is an HR leader who enjoys making the workplace a rewarding place for people to spend their time, energy, and passions. Bayne and her colleagues are currently focused on exploring HR strategy, workforce planning, workplace learning, coaching, career navigation, and employer branding within the context of working in the higher education sector. In 2018, she was the HR sponsor behind UBC’s bid for an ICF International Prism Award. ICF recognized UBC with a 2018 Prism Award Honorable Mention.
Prior to joining UBC, Bayne’s professional background included work in the public and financial sectors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Pacific Asian studies and an MBA in human resource management.
