Barry E. Altland is a talent management professional with nearly twelve years in theorganizational development/workplace learning and performance field. During that time, he has logged countless hours of platform time, imparting knowledge on a variety of people skill, technical skill and leadership development topics to thousands of participants. Barry has driven learning and organizational performance initiatives at several mid‐ and large‐sized companies in the central Florida area in a wide variety of industries, from hospitality, theme park/resort destination, real estate development, agribusiness and supply chain. He is a national member of ASTD, and has served on the Executive Board of the Central Florida Chapter of ASTD for five years, including being the 2006 Chapter President. Mr. Altland currently serves on the National ASTD Chapter Leaders Conference Planning Advisory Committee, and will be the chair of this committee for the 2011 event. Barry has also been a featured facilitator for the ASTD Chapter Leaders Conference, and has designed and delivered chapter workshop programs throughout Florida and nationwide. Mr. Altland is also serving as an ASTD National Advisor to Chapters (NAC) in 2011 for a number of local chapters in Florida and Georgia. Barry is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a Development Dimensions International (DDI) and Achieve Global certified facilitator, and is certified as a DiSC Profile facilitator.
