Ian Bird is the Social Learning Leader at IBM, responsible for leading the social transformation of learning and talent capabilities for IBM's 400,000 person workforce. Ian has over 20 years experience leading business and technology transformation, strategy development and Human Capital Management consulting. With a software development background, Ian grew his skills leading technology development teams and major technology change programs across HR, Talent, learning strategy and delivery, business transformation, and 2 value creation.  Since it's acquisition by IBM in 2002, Ian has a number of leadership roles in IBM's consulting division. He currently heads the Social Learning team within IBM's Talent organization. Ian is based in Oxford, England, married with two teenage boys and enjoys cycling, running and travel in his spare time
