Chris Mihm is the managing director of the U.S. Government Accountability Office’s (GAO) Strategic Issues team. He leads GAO’s work on government-wide governance and transformation issues. Strategic Issues addresses such topics as performance management, federal agency budgeting, human capital management, regulatory policy, intergovernmental issues, and federal tax policy and administration. Chris is the chair of the United Nations Independent Audit Advisory Committee, a fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, and an adjunct lecturer in public administration at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy.
