Karen E. Marsh is a North Carolina-based instructional designer and coach who specializes in e-learning and blended learning. She has been successfully self-employed as a “solopreneur” since completing her M.Ed. in Training & Development at North Carolina State University in 2003, and has developed learning programs for clients in business, Federal government, higher education, and non-profits. Karen has been an active member of the ATD-RTA (Research Triangle Park) chapter since the 1990’s, and her areas of interest include learning research, gamification, hands-on learning (“tinkering”), and learning technologies that can be used to deploy interactive, engaging learning in virtual environments.
