Kevin was born in Paris, France, and raised in Eagle River, Alaska—and has been a student of leadership and leadership development since 1979. Starting out as a Navy JROTC cadet in high school, he went on to graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy, and served 11 years as a naval officer. At sea, he has led teams on an ammunition cargo ship, a guided missile cruiser, and as part of the Commodore's staff of an amphibious assault battle group that conducted multinational expeditionary exercises in the Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf. Kevin also served as Assistant Chairman of the Naval Academy’s Department of Leadership, Ethics, and Law and taught courses in leadership and ethics, where he found his calling for facilitating leadership development and behavior change processes.
