Lou Tedrick led Verizon’s centralized global L&D team of more than 800 full-time employees responsible for leadership development, functional training, customer training, compliance training, tuition assistance, and L&D technology and operations. She retired from Verizon in March 2025.

Tedrick was recognized as the 2021 Chief Learning Officer of the Year by Chief Learning Officer. Under her leadership, Verizon also ranked as the #1 CLO Learning Elite Organization and joined the 2022 to 2024 CLO Learning Elite Winner’s Circle. Tedrick’s team also won eight Association for Talent Development BEST Awards; came in first place in Training magazine’s Top 125 in 2012 and 2013; and achieved many Brandon Hall Group and ROI Institute awards.
