Mies de Koning is an expert in social and organizational learning methodologies. Fascinated by personal leadership theory and group dynamics, Mies started his career as a group therapist in child psychiatry. As a program director in higher education at Avans University in the Netherlands, he led curriculum development and faculty for a bachelor’s in socio-educational work for 10 years. He is committed to leading deep and continuous change in knowledge-intensive public institutions. Currently, Mies works as a learning and development partner for leadership and organizational development at the New York Public Library.
