About

Nadine Rothermel is Director of Operations for the Global Learning and Leadership Development (GLLD) at Agilent Technologies, the world’s premier measurement company. Agilent operates two primary businesses – electronic measurement, and life sciences and chemical analysis – supported by a central research group, Agilent Laboratories. Its businesses excel in applying measurement technologies to develop products that sense, analyze, display and communicate data. The company’s 20,000 employees serve customers in more than 110 countries. Nadine is a member of the enterprise senior team for learning and development and in partnership with the CLO and her colleagues, Nadine manages the organization’s strategic financial operations, planning and processes, supplier management, benchmarking, and development for the organization. She is developing the social learning strategy and the social collaboration skills of the organization. Nadine’s background originates in the field where she was in sales and marketing in the semiconductor industry. Her work in training and development began when she joined a task force to develop and train customer call management for HP’s field offices for North America. Since then, she has served in all aspects of design, development, delivery and program management of training programs. She went to Agilent when the company was spun off as a start-up from HP in 1999 and managed different aspects of the learning and development function including teams across the globe. Nadine feels that GLLD has mastered the virtual workspace given Agilent’s use of technology to reach their distributed workforce and that many of her team members have worked successfully from home offices for more than a decade. Nadine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management from St Mary’s College of California and served as co-chair and advisory group member for the ASTD Forum.
