Vaden Spurlock began his career in primary education and later shifted to adult learning in the corporate setting. With a background in science education and an affinity for Lean methodologies, he has a process mindset for learning development. His most recent work has been with the Associate Experience Design Team, formerly the Learning and Development Team, within Walmart. This team focuses on building quality learning experiences for Walmart’s 1.4 million U.S. employees. In his latest role, he has focused on building learning and performance ecosystems that support a variety of people functions at Walmart.

Vaden earned his bachelor’s degree of science in education from the University of Arkansas. After completing his degree, he and his wife Kathleen decided to stay in the area and cheer on their beloved Razorbacks.
