Amelia Geary
ABOUT ME
Amelia Geary is an adult training and e-learning specialist. She has 20-plus years of INGO experience. Her principal focus has been program design, management, and implementation in the public health sector. Past programs have included water and sanitation, nutrition, maternal newborn and child health, and eye health. Geary has managed portfolios with a strong emphasis on innovation, training, and capacity building for medical professionals, hospital administrators, and NGO professionals. She has worked with several emergency and development organizations, including Orbis International, Action Against Hunger – USA, the UN Development Program, the World Bank Water and Sanitation program, and Concern Worldwide. Geary has implemented projects throughout Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean and has lived in Senegal, Kenya, South Africa, Sierra Leone, and Peru. She is currently based in Barbados.
Amelia holds a master’s degree in economic and political development from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in medical anthropology and African studies from Boston University.
