Andrea Goodwin
ABOUT ME

Andrea is a seasoned professional in the Learning & Development field. She started off her career as an instructional designer; developing instructor-led and e-learning courses varying from technical and soft skills courses to entire sales curricula. She progressed in her career to such roles as learning consultant, performance analyst, trainer, facilitator, leadership development coach and learning strategist / business partner. In her current role as a Training Manager, she applies her strategic and critical thinking skills for the implementation of programs designed to develop leaders, sales teams and other employees within her organization.

After spending a lifetime serving others, in the U.S. Navy and through community service, Andrea decided to continue her volunteerism while also developing and strengthening her professional skills. She had been a member or ATD for years and made the commitment to volunteer as the 2019 ACE Conference Director. She, along with a host of other volunteers, planned a successful event with hundreds of professionals in attendance. She hopes to bring that same passion, love and professionalism to events as the 2020-21 VP of Special Events.

Andrea has a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Drake University; M.A. in Training & Development with three graduate certificates in Adult Learning, Organizational Development and E-Learning from Roosevelt University; and begins pursuit of her PhD in Organizational Development in April 2020 from Benedictine University.

When she finds spare time she hones her love of acting through professional classes and workshops. She has performed in several local plays and two short films.
