Debra Ely is a multifaceted professional with a robust academic background and diverse career experience. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee University, she laid the foundation for her journey into the realms of technology and innovation. Building upon this, she pursued a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where her focus expanded to the intersection of engineering and healthcare.

Continuing her academic pursuit, Debra earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa, solidifying her knowledge in this dynamic field. Her academic journey equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of both electrical engineering principles and their application in cardiovascular contexts.

In her professional capacity, Debra serves as the DEI Director at Global Custom Commerce, championing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization. Additionally, her role as an instructional designer and facilitator showcases her dedication to fostering learning and development. Simultaneously, she fulfills the role of Executive Director of the Joe & Pearlie Ely Estate, LLC, where she manages operations and strategic initiatives.
