Hector Zapata
ABOUT ME

Hector E. Zapata earned a masters degree in Curriculum and Instructional Design from Purdue University. As part of his course load, he completed courses in Foundation of Learning Design & Technology, Learning Theories and Instructional Design, Project Management in Learning Design & Technology, Introduction to E-Learning, Learning Systems Design, Strategic Assessment & Evaluation, Advanced Design, Educational Technology for Teaching and Learning, Integration & Management of Computer in Education, Demonstration of Competency in LDT, and Demonstration of Professional Competence.

 

Mr. Zapata has over 15 years of teaching experience serving various communities in New York City. He served as consultant to the Jewish Community Council (JCC) of Greater Coney Island (JCCGI) and The Jewish Community Council Marine Park (JCCMP).  In his current position in Mosholu Montefiore Community Center Advance and Earn Program, Mr Zapata, played successfully lead a team in transitioning the program to online learning during the COVID-19 national crisis.
