Kimo Kippen
ABOUT ME

Kimo Kippen, a native of Hawai'i, former Chief Learning Officer at Hilton, recognized by CLO Magazine as Chief Learning Officer of the year - 2015, and former VP of Learning at Marriott International.  Kimo is a thought leader, teacher, speaker and advocate for creating greater access to learning and education thereby changing a generation and generations to come. 

Kimo is an adjunct professor at Catholic University of America, George Mason University and serves on the Talent Development Advisory board at Columbia University Teachers College. He is also Lead Facilitator for iVentiv HR Executive learning events (London, Berlin, Amsterdam, New York City).

Kimo has served as chairman of the board for the Association for Talent Development (formerly, American Society for Training & Development) and currently is an advisory board member of the Council for Adult & Experiential Learning (CAEL) and advisory board member for GP Strategies.   He is also chairman of the board for the Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF), advisor to Study.com and Penn Foster. Kimo also serves on the Executive Advisory Board for Skillsoft and is program director for The Conference Board Talent & Organizational Development Executive Council (TODEC) and Council Program Director for the European Union division of The Conference Board.

In January of 2017, Kimo founded Aloha Learning Advisors, his own consultancy practice.

Kimo has an M.S. in career and human resource development from Rochester Institute of Technology, a B.S. from the University of Hawaii, and is a graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland's Post Graduate Program. Kimo is married to Dorota Kowalska: they live in Washington DC, at The Wharf but also spend quality time every year in Warsaw, Poland and Honolulu, Hawai’i.
