Rich Burton
ABOUT ME

Rich is a Vice President of Human Capital Management currently working for WSFS Bank, a savings and loan holding company headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware where he has held various HR roles. Currently he works in the Human Sigma and Learning Department where he designs and trains curricula in a variety of areas involving Consumer Lending, Banking, Computer Systems, Technical Application Training, Customer Service, and Notary. He worked internally on the innovation team with managers and executives throughout the organization on change management projects to find efficiencies, streamline business processes and spearhead change management initiatives in efforts to increase ROA (Return on Assets).   He has worked to increase employee and Customer engagement across the Bank using the Gallup Human Sigma methodology and has been involved with change management supporting a variety of OD initiatives.

Throughout his career, he has focused on business formation and startup, training, recruiting, strategy planning and implementation, change management, and mergers and reorganizations. Rich has held HR positions with H.L.Yoh, T. Williams Consulting (acquired by Manpower), and the Christiana Care Health System. Mr. Burton holds a BS from the University of Delaware and an MBA with a concentration in Management and Finance from Drexel University. He also holds a PHR designation from the Human Resource Capital Institute and his SHRM-CP from the Society of Human Resource Management. Rich holds a certification in training from the Association of Talent Development and is currently in the process of earning his Master Trainer and Performance coaching certifications. As a member of the Board of Directors for the Delaware Society of Human Resource Management Rich has served as Legislative Liaison, Delaware State Conference Chair, Communications Chair, and is currently Treasurer. He has served as the Certification Chair on the Delaware State Council and as a civil dispute mediator for the Delaware Center for Justice. He has been an adjunct professor at Drexel University, Goldey-Beacom College and Wilmington University teaching classes in Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Recruiting and Staffing, Operations Management, Project Management, Accounting, Finance and Capital Budgeting.
