Scott Palmer
ABOUT ME

Scott Palmer is a community coach for Ford Next Generation Learning (FNGL), assisting several communities in the U.S. and the U.K. as they travel down FNGL’s five phase roadmap for transformation.  Additionally, he serves as an advocate for all FNGL work in Michigan. 

Before joining the FNGL family full-time, Scott was the regional Career Technical Education (CTE) Administrator for the Macomb Intermediate School District in suburban Detroit, Michigan.  As such, he supported 200+ CTE programs operating in 30 high schools and career centers in the 3rd largest county in Michigan.  

Prior to his work at the regional level, Scott was the co-creator and leader of an award-winning college and career academy, the Utica Center for Science and Industry, which modeled the key pillars of Ford NGL and was the first “Powered by Ford” S.T.E.A.M. Academy in Michigan.   Scott also served as the district CTE Administrator for Utica Community Schools, placed over 800 students in work-based learning experiences as a School-to-Work Coordinator, taught business education, technology, and mathematics, and coached football, basketball, and baseball at the varsity level.

Scott holds an Education Specialist degree in Leadership from Oakland University, a Master of Business Administration degree from Wayne State University, a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University, and a certificate in CTE Leadership and Administration from Western Michigan University.
