Developing a training plan

Published: Wednesday, October 10, 2018

I am looking for some help in developing training plans for machine operators. The plan will then be used in the development of the training. The plan needs to include the needs assessment results, learning objectives, training goals, and evaluation for transfer of learning. Any ideas, help. or book suggestions would be much appreciated

I have been able to develop a ground up approach to organizing, gathering data and creating all the needed related tools bu creating a SharePoint front end with an Access back end. Once designed, tested and implemented, it creates a one-stop solution for all your training needs, assessments, evaluations, course, student and class catalogues, etc.

Hi Martin! I'm working on finishing up training plans and internal certifications (linked to pay levels) for the Advanced Composites Laminating Technicians at my job. The Criterian-Referenced Test Development manual by Shrock and Coscarelli was very helpful in the process!!
We also have on-boarding plans for CNC operators, ect. that will be developed into full training plans using that method over the next year. The book is on Amazon if you wanna take a peak. Good luck!

ADDIE/SAM methods are 'industry standards'. https://www.findcourses.com/prof-dev/l-d-articles/addie-vs-sam-which-is-better-11516 I find a good blend between the two helps out. I like the structure of ADDIE but the flexibility of SAM.
