Don’t Miss These 3 Features at TechKnowledge 2023

Wednesday, January 18, 2023

It’s hard to believe that ATD TechKnowledge 23—TK for short—is less than a month away! For the first time since 2020, TK attendees will meet in person on February 7–9 in New Orleans. Don’t worry if you’re unable to travel, the virtual program is also a great way to participate.

If you’re interested in the future of talent development, this conference is for you! Every year, we see a mix of TD professionals—no matter the role, experience, or title—with a shared vision. How can they usher in technology, innovation, and new strategies to push the field into the future?

You’ll find inspiration and intentional opportunities to help you adapt, grow, and innovate, starting with our amazing keynote speakers and more than 100 educational sessions across seven tracks. Here are three more features of TK23 that you won’t want to miss:

1. ScavengAR Hunt

TK’s customized, augmented reality experience is BACK! Get ready for an immersive scavenger hunt journey that combines your mobile device, trivia, and other games to give you a taste of New Orleans.

Work with others to reach the end of the hunt and celebrate your accomplishment with food, drinks, more games, networking, and live Zydeco music. Join us at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, for this opportunity.

Virtual attendees can participate too by watching the on-demand session “ScavengAR Hunt Revealed.” Pause the video to engage in the experience and then press play to learn how it was done!

2. Studio TK

Check out this hub filled with different experiences for you to explore throughout the event. Network with old and new friends, try out new tech, chat with speakers and authors, evaluate vendor solutions, and more.

  • Career Center: Develop your professional self with the headshot lounge, portfolio reviews, and guided career conversations.
  • TK Live: Cath Ellis bridges the in-person and virtual programs for a hybrid experience with live, hot-seat interviews with speakers and attendees in New Orleans.
  • TechZone: Test out new tech and take a brain break with games paired with virtual reality headsets or digital touchscreens or recharge your batteries in the Zen Den.
  • Knowledge Exchange: Engage in thoughtful and informal discussion with your industry peers on topics and trends that matter most to you!
  • ATD Store: Stop by the store to browse hundreds of L&D books and attend meet and greets, where you’ll have an opportunity to chat directly with authors.
  • Sponsor Kiosks: If you’re on the hunt to upgrade your tech stack, check in with our sponsor kiosks to learn more about their products and services.

3. Practitioner Panel: Build Your L&D Team’s Technology Acumen

Interested in learning how other practitioners are leveraging data and analytics? Join this general session to hear panelists Brandon Carson, Yasmin Gutierrez, and Anthony Auriemmo discuss their own experiences, challenges, and strategies for developing their team’s data and technology capabilities and integrating data and analytics into an L&D strategy.

Mark your calendars for 8 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, for this engaging discussion.

I am also looking forward to the hands-on-learning sessions, super sessions with must-see industry experts, and interactive networking opportunities for our virtual attendees. What are you looking forward to? Can’t wait to see you in the Big Easy!
