A friend of mine recommended William Arruda's book after listening to him speak at an ATD conference. The idea of personal branding brings up images of the stereotypical car salesman. Arruda's book changed my impression. He give practical, compelling arguments for why we all need to focus on our personal brand with strategies and exercises to help us build our personal brand. Follow him on LinkedIn as well. His postings are full of great tips and articles that focus on some of these strategies.
