2013 ASTD Scholarship Winners Announced

Seven of the more than 70 students who applied were selected to receive the John Coné ASTD Membership Scholarship to further their professional development. Their dedication to the workplace training and development field was evident through their applications. According to a member of the selection team this was a very difficult year to make final selections due to the high caliber of submissions.

  • Jeannette Dye, Oakland University, Bachelor's, Integrative Studies, minor: Training and Development

  • Alexandra Hatcher, Northern Arizona University, Master's, Linguistic Anthropology

  • Samantha Knight, Towson University, Master's, Instructional Design

  • Reena Sonigrah, University of Houston, Master's, Human Resource Development/Management

The John Coné Scholarship is named after one of ASTD’s most respected members and champions. Mr. Coné established the scholarship to nurture the professional development of students seeking to enter the learning and development field. Applications for the 2014 scholarship will be available in August.
