(From TodayOnline.com) -- One in two employees believes it makes sense to switch jobs for career growth, according to a workplace survey by global consultancy firm Kelly Services.

In the Kelly Global Workforce Index (KGWI), 51 percent of respondents believe it is more important to change employers rather than remain with their existing employer if they are to develop their skills and advance their careers.

Kelly Services said that the findings reflect a changing attitude from workers, with more seeking to gain new experiences and skills with multiple employers. Nearly 170,000 people in 30 countries took part in the survey.

The survey found that in spite of the uncertainty in the global economy, 65 percent said if they did change jobs, they would be in a good position to negotiate a similar or better position. More than two-thirds, or 68 percent, said experience with multiple employers is an asset in their career development.
