People don’t have a one-size fits-all method of learning new information. Using assessments to ascertain individual learning styles, enables you to tailor your training to suit their needs, especially in individual or small group settings. It’s the equivalent of having the answers ahead of time. Knowing about individual learning styles in advance, enables me to understand preferences and incorporate them into everything that I do.

If I know that I have a learner who prefers having time to process information, I may have the group spend three minutes writing down their answers instead of raising their hands. It helps everyone feel more connected to the training. When you feel more connected, you retain more information.
