For many folks within our industry, the idea of working as a full-time freelancer is the goal. Not only do you get to set your own schedule and be your own boss, but you also get to work with various clients on interesting projects. As someone who freelances full-time, I love it!

However, making the leap from your full-time job and into freelance work can be a little mysterious, tricky to navigate, and downright scary. It took me almost 10 years (nearly the eternity of my career) to muster up the courage to make the leap. But that journey has given me a ton of perspective on how to properly do it.
