This image appeared in the September 1980 issue of Training and Development Journal in an article about communicating technical training techniques in a way that is not boring, confusing, or intimidating. The article, written by Robert H. Frye, highlights to positive aspects of creative art to make technical training meaningful. Directed cartoons, Frye writes, "have a specific purpose. They can quickly communicate an idea that may take many words and might not even be read by the trainee."
