Collecting data for training has been an issue for many years, as evidenced by the image that appeared in the August 1982 issue of Training and Development Journal. Showing value in training programs is more than just collecting actual training costs....In today's business climate, showing value in training means linking all training initiatives to the goals of the company. This 1982 article by Laurence M. Weinstein highligted a cost framework model that looked at data from Levels 1, 2, and 3.

How would you answer the question, "Do you consider this expenditure worthwhile?" Do you have any particular models or frameworks you use to show value in learning?
