"If you gave three individuals the same job to do, you would probably find that each one had his or her own way of doing it--even though the steps or process involved required a particular sequence," wrote John D. Bies and Joel A. Turetzky in their June 1982 Training and Development Journal article on styles of work. This image is a Style of Work model that is based upon the concept that an individual's style of work is made up of three behavioral elements influenced by two conditional elements, all having interactive effects on total work style.
Just like learning styles, everyone works differently. How many work styles have you encountered? Is it a major issue in the workplace, or just a sign of individuality?
