This image portrays the intricacies of international HRD--cultures, lifestyles, and diverse economic, demographic, and political conditions--and gives workplace learning and professionals a model for how to approach and design training around these differences. This image, where each cell represents a unique international HRD interaction for which certain considerations and component activities are appropriate, appeared in the October 1981 issue of Training and Development Journal.
This model is timely today because of the globalization that the workforce has undergone. Do you have a model that you use when designing training materials for diverse organizations? What types of challenges have you had to overcome when developing and delivering training for a diverse audience?
